Saleh Kamel Humanitarian Foundation celebrates the qualifying/skill development of Hajj and Umrah workers

March 24th 2022

The Saleh Abdullah Kamel Humanitarian Foundation recently celebrated the graduation of the first batch of the “Saleh Kamel Program for Qualifying Workers in Hajj and Umrah.” His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Abdul Fattah bin Suleiman Mashat, honored the graduate trainees, on the sidelines of the Hajj and Umrah Services Conference and Exhibition, held in Jeddah Super Dome under the title “Transformation towards innovation”. The event was held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Governor of Makkah Region.

The program aims to develop the skills of dealing and welcoming service providers and workers in the governmental, private and non-profit sectors, according to the best standards, as part of the Kingdom’s endeavor to create a transformative spiritual experience for the pilgrims, and to raise the quality of services provided.

217 trainees representing a variety of different sectors related to Hajj and Umrah (governmental, private, non-profit) benefited from the program, following a course called “Terhab”, organized by the Foundation within the framework of its agreement with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. The aim is to make a qualitative leap in raising the quality of services provided to pilgrims to a global level.  Being aware of the responsibility of the Kingdom, which places the service of the Two Holy Mosques at the forefront of its priorities and concerns, remains paramount.

It will involve Saudi youth in the Hajj and Umrah system, training and qualifying them to refine their skills to keep pace with the continuous growth of Umrah and other pilgrims, and providing them with a spiritual experience, in addition to reflecting the civilized image of the Kingdom. In order to achieve sustainable social impact and to achieve the objectives of the Pilgrims Program – one of the most prominent programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 – the program aims to facilitate hosting visitors to the Two Holy Mosques and provide the more than 30 million pilgrims who visit the Kingdom annually with the best possible service.

The Saleh Abdullah Kamel Humanitarian Foundation is a non-profit civil organization that provides a set of initiatives and programs to serve all segments of society while seeking to deepen a spirit of solidarity, in line with changing interests, needs and challenges, of partnerships that achieve a social impact that balances sustainability with the dignity of life.
