The third Round Table Meeting of national NGOs was recently held with the aim of enhancing communication between national NGOs, and to follow up on the progress of investigative teams from these institutions. The annual meeting saw plans, projects suggested and mechanisms put forward for discussion before an action plan was decided upon. The progress of the plan will be monitored at periodic meetings.

The role of leaders of the non-profit sector organizations was praised and an annual increase in the sector’s contribution to the GDP by eight billion Saudi Riyals annually was approved. According to the latest report issued by the King Khalid Foundation to monitor the performance of the charitable sector and follow up on its growth and stability.

The round table meeting of national NGOs is held periodically to discuss the executive and participatory initiatives to advance the desired developmental role of the non-profit sector in the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, and the sustainable development goals, as well as the role of Saudi NGOs in empowering youth, women and other segments of society.
