Jeddah, April 2, 2023
The Saleh Abdullah Kamel Humanitarian Foundation, a leading non-profit organization committed to supporting innovative solutions for social development, announced the impressive outcomes of its various humanitarian and development projects in 2022. The Foundation’s significant impact has reached over 139,000 individuals across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, spanning approximately 60 cities and villages in 13 administrative regions.
A comprehensive video highlighting the Foundation’s accomplishments throughout the year is now available on its official social media accounts (www.instagram.com/sakhf_sa). The success of these initiatives is attributed to collaborative efforts with 113 implementing agencies and six key partners: the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, the Ihsan National Platform for Charitable Work, the Al Baraka Forum for Islamic Economy, the Iqraa Humanitarian Foundation, and the Charitable Foundation for Orphan Care (Ikhaa).
Mr. Abdullah Kamel, Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, emphasized the Foundation’s dedication to fostering a productive and interdependent society. He stated, “Our mission, rooted in the vision of our founder (may God have mercy on him), extends globally, aiming to reconstruct the earth, promote development, and achieve sustainability for human societies. We strive to instill a spirit of solidarity and unity, aligned with the national vision and the evolving global needs and challenges. Preserving our founder’s legacy, we integrate goals and partnerships to generate the desired social impact.”
Hammam Zarei, CEO of the Foundation, highlighted that the achievements of 2022 reflect the visionary approach of Sheikh Saleh Kamel (may God have mercy on him). The Foundation’s efforts contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Plan for 2030, addressing goals such as poverty alleviation, hunger eradication, promoting good health, ensuring quality education, fostering decent work, supporting economic growth, and creating sustainable cities and communities.
Zarei added, “Our commitment extends to advancing the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, promoting Islamic values, and strengthening national identity. We work towards enhancing quality of life for the elderly and the blind, contributing to societal needs, revitalizing the Arabic language through digital content enrichment, and participating in the development of the Islamic economy. Looking ahead to 2023, the Foundation is set to collaborate with King Saud University on the international professional certificates in teaching project, continuing our mission to benefit humanity and advance societal development.”
The Saleh Abdullah Kamel Humanitarian Foundation remains steadfast in pursuing its three strategic goals: supporting social solidarity, revitalizing the Arabic language, and contributing to the reconstruction of the country. These goals encompass improving the quality of life for the elderly and the blind, enriching Arabic digital content, and developing competencies in religious tourism in the holy places.
